Machine Operation and Maintenance
- Read order forms and performs work as assigned by department supervisor
- Assemble the materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished product from raw materials
- Attach appropriate labels and load bales and packages
- Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
- Place finished goods on the designated pallet
- Compete Operator preventative maintenance on machines weekly
Cross Training and Expectation
- Employee must be able to run machines assigned
- Employee must be proficient at setting up and running the presses/machines independently and efficiently
- Employee must be able to physically lift product to machine within guidelines listed below or use reasonable accommodations to meet this standard
Safety
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Report any safety conditions that are a hazard
- Operate machines in a safe manner and follow all safety guidelines as stated in Watertown Box Safety Manual
Payroll
- Responsible for submitting all hours worked by date due for payroll
- Submit any leave requests to Direct Supervisor
Additional Duties as Assigned – Including, But Not Limited To:
- Cover for any absent employee
- Be able to operate several machines proficiently
- Coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to insure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner
- Assist with customers when needed
- Other duties as needed to keep small company efficient and assigned by management
Supervisory Responsibility
No Supervisor Responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles (air quality tested annually), moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Hearing and eye protection provided.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is required to stand for long periods of time. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Above 50 lbs. employee should use shared lifting for support. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Positions can be either fulltime or part-time based on offer letter. Production hours are Monday-Thursday 6 am – 3:30 pm and Friday 6 am – 10 am or Tuesday-Friday 5 am – 3:30 pm. Employer and Employee will agree to which shift they are working. Overtime may be required based on production and customer needs.
Required Education and Experience
